First of all, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

I certainly did.
My wonderful brother gave me two books about animal anatomy for Christmas this year! The Art of Animal Drawing by Ken Hultgren, and Animal Anatomy for Artists by Eliot Goldfinger. I’ve finished the first book, and I’d definitely recommend it if you haven’t already read it. It was very, very helpful, and extremely interesting to read. I’m not very far into Animal Anatomy for Artists, but it’s very interesting too. It delves into greater detail than Hultgren’s book, but it’s like reading a text book. If I hadn’t taken human anatomy this year, I wouldn’t understand a word. As it is, I find myself reading sentences several times before I understand them sometimes.
I’ve had so much fun studying animal anatomy! It’s incredible how each animal is designed so perfectly to survive in the environment it’s in. Absolutely glorious! And I can tell already that it's helping my artwork improve. It's just easier to make animals look right! I haven't done anything great though, which is why you haven't seen any art from me in a while. I'm having too much fun practicing to do anything DA worthy.
